What is a Framer agency?

Framer documents each of these limits. Most can be fixed in place, without starting the site again.

The CMS reaches its plan cap
Framer limits pages, collections and items by plan. Large blogs, directories and catalogs reach the cap, and new content then waits on a plan change or a restructure.

Custom code breaks rendering
Code components run during server-side rendering. A component that touches browser APIs too early is hidden by Framer and retried on load, which visitors see as missing or shifting content.

Framer has no native user accounts, checkout or server-side logic. Fetch can read an API, but it needs JSON, CORS and, for authenticated data, a service in between.

Questions about fixing Framer sites

Can you fix my Framer site without rebuilding it?
Usually, yes. Most problems come from a few causes: heavy scripts, unsafe code components, or a CMS structure that outgrew its plan. We fix those in place. If a rebuild is the better option, we explain why on the call.
Why is my Framer site slow?
Framer optimizes images and hosting itself. Slow pages usually trace to what was added on top: third-party scripts, embeds, custom fonts, autoplay video and heavy blur or scroll effects. We measure each one and remove or defer the most expensive.
Can I export my Framer site and host it myself?
No. Framer does not offer HTML export, because published sites depend on its rendering and delivery services. You can place a reverse proxy in front of the site on supported plans, or we can rebuild the site in Next.js.
What happens when I reach the Framer CMS limit?
Collections and items are capped by plan, with paid add-ons above that. We first check whether the content model can be simplified. Data that behaves like an application, not like content, moves to a database and is read through an API.
Can Framer handle logins, payments or a customer portal?
Not natively. Framer has no built-in user authentication, checkout or server-side logic. We build those parts as a separate application, often on Supabase and Next.js, and connect it to the Framer marketing site.
How fast can an engineer start?

Who owns the site and the code after the work?
