How the level is set

The level comes only from your answers. Three choices in the scoring are worth knowing before you read it.

Every area counts once

Operations and culture have two questions each, but each area counts once in the score, so no area outweighs the others.

Your weakest area

Besides the three steps for your level, you get one for your lowest area. Gains there move the whole score.

Levels, not benchmarks

Each level describes a set of answers, not other companies. We show no industry average because we do not have a sourced one.

Questions

AI maturity questions

How is the level calculated?

Answers A to E are worth 1 to 5. Each of the eight areas gets the average of its answers, and every area counts once, even operations and culture, which have two questions each. The average of the eight areas becomes a score out of 100: 0 to 20 is level 1, 21 to 40 level 2, 41 to 60 level 3, 61 to 80 level 4 and 81 to 100 level 5.

Is there an industry comparison?

No. We do not have a sourced industry average, so we do not show one. The dashed line on the radar is where level 3 starts, worked out from the scoring itself.

What is the difference between this and the AI Readiness Assessment?

The readiness assessment asks whether you can start. This quiz asks how far you have come once AI is in use: production systems, budget, measurement and partners. If you have not started yet, the readiness assessment gives more useful steps.

What if our areas score very differently?

That is common and useful to know. The quiz adds one recommendation for your weakest area on top of the three for your level, because that is usually where the next level is decided.

Are my answers stored?

No. The quiz runs in your browser. If you use the optional email box, we keep a record of that request and send one email with your summary.

How often should we retake it?

After a major AI project, or every six to twelve months. Different teams can also take it separately and compare.
