What the assessment measures

Readiness asks whether you can start: is the data usable, can the systems connect, will people take it on, is the work written down, and is there a plan with money behind it. Each pillar gets three questions and a score out of 100.

Readiness or maturity?

Readiness is about starting. Maturity is about how far you have come. If AI already runs in production, take the AI Maturity Quiz instead.

AI Readiness Assessment

Find your AI readiness score

Five pillars, three questions each. Pick the answer closest to today, not where you plan to be.

  • Data
Quality, access and ownership of your data
  • Technology
Cloud, APIs and room for new workloads
  • People
Skills, sponsorship and openness to change
  • Process
    Documented, standard and measured work

What moves the score

Three things decide most of the result. They are also where the 90-day plan starts.

The weakest pillar

A first pilot moves only as fast as its weakest foundation. The plan starts with your two lowest pillars, not your strongest.

A plan with money behind it

The strategy questions ask about budget and how far ahead you plan, not about ambition. A plan without a budget scores in the middle.

People who will use it

Skills, a named sponsor and how people react to change. A pilot that works but nobody adopts does not move the business.

How is the score worked out?

Every answer sits on a ladder from the weakest option (0) to the strongest (100), so each question weighs the same. A pillar is the average of its three answers, and the overall score is the average of the five pillars. Levels: 0 to 20 Beginner, 21 to 40 Developing, 41 to 60 Competent, 61 to 80 Advanced, 81 to 100 Leading.

What is the difference between readiness and maturity?

Readiness asks whether you can start: usable data, systems that connect, people who will take it on, written-down processes and a funded plan. Maturity asks how far you have come once AI is running. If you already have AI in production, the AI Maturity Quiz fits better.

Why does the radar show a line at 61?

That is where the Advanced level starts. It is not an industry average: we do not have a sourced one, so we do not show one. Pillars inside the line are the ones keeping you from Advanced.

Do I need to give my email?

No. Your results appear on the page straight away. There is an optional box to email yourself a summary; if you use it, we keep a record of that request and send one email.

How often should we retake it?

After each round of work on your weakest pillars, or once a quarter. The 90-day plan ends with a retake so you can see what moved.

Can we use it for one project instead of the whole company?

Yes. Answer for the team and the systems that project would use. The pillar scores then show what to fix before that pilot starts.
