What is a Replit agency?
A Replit agency is an engineering team that builds, repairs and launches software made on Replit. It works with Replit Agent, the workspace, the Postgres database and Replit publishing, and adds what a prompt does not: architecture, security review, tests, data migrations and a release process that protects live users.

These are documented platform behaviors, not bad luck. Each has a known fix.

Files vanish after publishing
A published Replit app has no persistent file system. It resets on every publish, so uploads and generated files written to local disk are gone after the next release.
What we do: We move files to App Storage and records to Postgres, then migrate what exists.

Production data at risk
Schema changes made in development are applied to production when you publish. Dropping or renaming a column the live code reads breaks the app, and rollback does not restore production data.

Agent is billed by effort. Replit states that this can cost more over the life of a project, because price depends on project size, request type and context size.

Can a Replit app run in production?
Yes, for many web apps. Replit provides managed Postgres, object storage, secrets and several deployment types. The app still needs engineering work that a prompt rarely covers: access control, migrations, tests, monitoring and a safe release routine.
Why does my app work in preview but fail when published?
The usual causes are documented by Replit: the server listens on localhost instead of 0.0.0.0, the home page is too slow for the health check, production secrets are missing, or the app writes to a file system that resets.
Will you rewrite my app from scratch?
Not by default. We audit first and keep what is sound. Replit apps often need targeted repairs to data, security and publishing rather than a rebuild. If a rewrite is the safer path, we say so after the audit and explain why.
Who owns the code and the Replit account?
You do. The code, the IP and the docs are yours. Everything lives in your repository and your accounts, including the Replit workspace and the database. We sign an NDA on request.
Should I hire Replit developers or an agency?
