Reading your scorecard

Everything on the results page comes from your own answers.

Equal steps

Every question has four answers worth 0, 33, 67 and 100, so no question counts more than another. Each pillar weighs the same in the total.

Your own strengths and gaps

Strengths are the answers you gave at the top two steps. Gaps are the questions you answered at the bottom two. Nothing is compared with other companies.

Points, not months

The scorecard shows how many points each pillar needs to reach Maturing. It does not guess how long that takes, because that depends on your team.

Questions

Digital transformation questions

How is the score calculated?

Each question has four answers worth 0, 33, 67 and 100. A pillar is the average of its four answers and the overall score is the average of the five pillars. Levels: 0 to 20 Traditional, 21 to 40 Emerging, 41 to 60 Developing, 61 to 80 Maturing, 81 to 100 Digital-first.

Why is there no industry benchmark?

Because we do not have sourced data for one, and we will not make one up. The radar and the bars show where Maturing starts (61) instead, which comes from the scoring itself.

Which pillar should we work on first?

Usually the weakest one, which is where the plan starts. The exception is strategy: if it is under 40, agree a direction and an owner first, or the other pillars stall.

Do all pillars need the same score?

No. A business can run well with one pillar ahead of the others. The total points to Maturing shows how far each pillar is from 61, so you can pick where a gain matters most.

Are my answers stored?

No. The scorecard runs in your browser. If you use the optional email box, we keep a record of that request and send one email with your summary.

How often should we retake it?

Every quarter is a good rhythm. Track three to five numbers monthly in between so the next score has something behind it.
